The Missing Lynx Project
The Missing Lynx Project is a partnership project exploring the potential reintroduction of lynx to England. Working with The Wildlife Trusts, I developed a brand identity to promote the accompanying exhibition. I also partnered with Limbic Cinema to design the interactive experience and the individual display plinths. (Read more about the project here.)
The Goal:
To deliver a summer 2024 touring exhibition that encourages open conversation with the public. The exhibit aims to build support for reintroducing lynx in Northumberland, ultimately contributing to the UK’s biodiversity.
The Challenges:
To present scientific research in an engaging, unbiased, and accessible way for a broad audience. To represent the lynx truthfully by emphasising its quiet, elusive nature over sensationalism.
The Outcome:
A cohesive brand experience that welcomes and informs. A unique logo that stands apart from others in the conservation space. The lynx is depicted with grace and curiosity, avoiding clichés of aggression.
The Impact:
A successful touring exhibition receiving over 8,000 visitors in the first three months of opening. The positive public response has helped push the reintroduction project one step closer to reality.
